I envision people getting together in one another's homes and making music using amazing technologies. A CD of John Denver, for instance, might be played as you play the violin along with it -- not with a violin but by pressing a button that sounds exactly like a violin as you play a simple tune on the synthesizer.
Someone else might play the tune on the synthesizer piano that sounds like an oboe -- a wind instrument.
A good time indeed.
You could play a tune with the violin button and tape it, then play it again adding the oboe, tape that, then play it again adding holding down the choir button etc.
What a gift for a child.
How might we educate and inspire each other to bring out the vast potentialities of our technologies? We need MSNBC, BBC, CNN and Fox videos of groups of friends making music together, holding down buttons. (For we want our kids to be button pushers rather than pill poppers at parties.)

We fight "holy war" -- not with the weapons of the evil, not with bombs and bullets, but with light. Light dispels the darkness. The light is harmony on earth and perhaps only music can help us understand it.
